20th anniversary of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) will be held the Economic Forum and the 13th session of the SPECA Governing Council

20th anniversary of the UN Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) will be held the Economic Forum and the 13th session of the SPECA Governing Council on "Twentieth anniversary of SPECA in Almaty in honor in September 20, 2018: a new stage of regional cooperation for the implementation of the Agenda in the field of sustainable development for the period until 2030 ".

In the current year, Kazakhstan is the chairing country in SPECA, the working body of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event will be attended by deputy heads of ministries and departments responsible for the economy and trade of the SPECA member states, the Executive Secretaries of the European Commission of the United Nations and the United Nations Economic Commission for Asia and the Pacific, as well as international organizations.

For reference:

SPECA was developed by the UN in 1998 at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev. Currently, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan are participating in its implementation.
